Event description

Public spaces are integral to the vibrancy of a community. They should be created, supported and maintained with active participation of the public.

This Creativity Week, we are putting the pub in public space by hosting a roundtable presentation and discussion on the role of public space and what it should look like in Brookings.

The event includes models and demonstrations from Jessica Garcia Fritz, professor of architecture at South Dakota State University, and her students who have worked to design ideas for the Armory as a re-imagined public space.

Joining her to discuss public space and community is TEDxBrookings speakers Jonathan Holth, Melody Warnick and a few other surprise guests.

Join us for drinks and discussions on what public space can look like in our community.
